February is Black History Month, but more than commemorating the past, it’s about celebrating the valuable contributions the black community has made that push culture forward, enrich society, and advance the world. FUESD honors the progress, ingenuity, strength, and resilience of the black community, as well as the greater achievements to come as we celebrate black history, black heritage, and black progress.

At FUESD, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. Below are a few resources to bring Black History Month home. We hope you and your child enjoy these age-appropriate books to explore the great accomplishments of the black community, learn about the civil rights movement, and understand how you can be a leader for diversity and equality.
