This week, students across our district—along with many others throughout California—are beginning the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). This annual state assessment focuses on student achievement and growth in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics, providing valuable insight into what students have learned throughout the school year.
CAASPP is designed to measure critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application of knowledge, rather than simple memorization. It helps educators and families better understand how students are progressing and where additional support may be needed.
For our students, this is more than just a test—it’s an opportunity to show what they know and how far they’ve come. Every lesson, every assignment, and every challenge they’ve worked through this year has prepared them for this moment.
Across the district, our teachers, staff, and school leaders are united in their support. They are encouraging students to stay confident, do their best, and take pride in their hard work. We believe in our students and know they are ready to succeed.

Esta semana, los estudiantes de todo nuestro distrito—junto con muchos otros en todo California—están comenzando la Evaluación del Progreso y Desempeño Estudiantil de California (CAASPP, por sus siglas en inglés). Esta evaluación estatal anual se enfoca en el rendimiento y crecimiento académico de los estudiantes en Artes del Lenguaje en Inglés (ELA) y Matemáticas, proporcionando información valiosa sobre lo que han aprendido durante el año escolar.
