Mike Choate Center welcomed families for its monthly Parent Engagement Session, giving parents another special opportunity to learn, participate, and spend meaningful time alongside their children.
This month’s focus was literacy, and the Mike Choate Center team found creative ways to bring several classic children’s books to life through fun, hands-on activities. Parents and students worked together throughout the morning, building connections while celebrating the joy of reading and learning.
The event was made even more special thanks to the generosity of the Fallbrook Crocheting Club, which donated beautiful handmade blankets for preschool students. Each child was invited to choose a special blanket, along with a free book to take home.
The thoughtful gifts created the perfect invitation for families to curl up together, get cozy, and continue reading at home.
