Dear FUESD Parents and Families,

At Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD), we remain committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every student. As part of this commitment, FUESD will be implementing a new guideline that prohibits students from taking out or using their cell phones while riding the school bus.

Please note that this measure does not require students to turn in their phones—it simply asks that they refrain from using them during the bus ride. The goal is to protect student privacy, minimize distractions for drivers, and promote a positive and safe atmosphere for everyone on board.

This guideline aligns with Board Policy 5131: Conduct and Administrative Regulation 5131.1: Bus Conduct, which establish expectations for student behavior and the safe operation of district transportation.

Our Transportation Department, led by Director Robert Trotter, is working closely with all bus drivers to implement this new expectation with care and consistency. We are committed to making this a smooth and supportive transition for all students and families.
