Calling All Fallbrook Homeschool and Charter Families:
Let’s Build a Virtual or Hybrid Learning Experience Together
Every family’s educational journey is unique. Over the last few years, many Fallbrook families have made the thoughtful decision to step away from traditional, five-day-a-week classrooms to seek out online programs, independent homeschooling, or hybrid charter schools. You chose flexibility, personalized pacing, and tailored learning environments for your children.
But we also know that choosing an out-of-town charter or a fully virtual academy sometimes means sacrificing local connections. It can mean driving to Temecula or Escondido for enrichment classes, navigating isolated virtual portals, or missing out on the local community ties that make Fallbrook so special.
What if you didn’t have to choose between a flexible schedule and your local community?
The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) is currently revamping our online and flexible learning options for K-8 students, and before we finalize the blueprints for this fall, we need to hear from you. We are not asking you to return to a traditional classroom. Instead, we want to know what it would take to build the ultimate, locally-supported flexible learning program right here in our own backyard. What do you love about your current charter? What frustrates you? What kind of local, hands-on enrichment (STEM, art, agriculture, local sports) would make your homeschool journey easier?
Join Us for the “Future of Flexible Learning” Listening Tour
We are hosting a series of informal, open-dialogue listening sessions during the last week of April. Coffee and pastries are on us. Come join us for a coffee and share your experiences, tell us what you need, and help us design a local program that truly serves Fallbrook’s independent learners.
