This summer, students attending the FUESD Super Summer Camp had a unique opportunity to hear from someone whose career has quite literally reached for the stars.
Through a live virtual presentation, former FUESD student Natalie Weber, now an Aerospace and Materials Process Engineer at Boeing, shared her remarkable journey from the classrooms of Fallbrook to working on some of the nation’s most advanced space exploration programs.
Natalie gave 7th and 8th grade students an inside look at her role supporting NASA’s Artemis Space Launch System (SLS) and the CST-100 Starliner, where she helps develop advanced manufacturing processes and protection systems that ensure spacecraft are strong enough and safe enough to carry astronauts into space. She also shared how the math, science, engineering, and problem-solving skills students are learning today form the foundation for careers that can shape the future.
Her story captivated students, demonstrating that extraordinary careers often begin in ordinary classrooms. As a former FUESD student herself, Natalie showed that there are no limits to where education, curiosity, and determination can lead. The same hallways our students walk today helped shape someone who is now contributing to missions that will send astronauts farther into space than ever before.
Experiences like these bring learning to life, connecting classroom lessons to real-world careers and inspiring students to dream beyond what they thought was possible. Whether their future leads them to engineering, medicine, education, the arts, or another passion, seeing someone with roots in their own community achieve incredible success reminds students that their goals are within reach.

Este verano, los estudiantes del FUESD Super Summer Camp tuvieron una oportunidad única de conocer la historia de alguien cuya carrera ha llegado, literalmente, hasta las estrellas.
A través de una presentación virtual en vivo, la exalumna de FUESD Natalie Weber, hoy Ingeniera de Procesos de Materiales y Aeroespacial en Boeing, compartió su extraordinario recorrido desde las aulas de Fallbrook hasta trabajar en algunos de los programas de exploración espacial más importantes de la nación.
Natalie ofreció a los estudiantes de 7.º y 8.º grado una mirada al trabajo que realiza apoyando el Sistema de Lanzamiento Espacial Artemis (SLS) de la NASA y la nave CST-100 Starliner, donde participa en el desarrollo de procesos avanzados de manufactura y sistemas de protección que ayudan a garantizar que las naves espaciales sean lo suficientemente resistentes y seguras para llevar astronautas al espacio.
