Fallbrook Union Elementary School District kicked off the new school year with excitement, school spirit, and plenty of smiles as students returned for their first week of classes. Across FUESD, staff went above and beyond to make the first day a special and memorable experience for new and returning students.
Colorful signs, balloons, music, cheers, and sidewalk chalk transformed school entrances into welcoming celebrations. Staff members greeted students and families as they arrived, creating an atmosphere that helped every student feel excited, supported, and ready for the year ahead.
At Potter Junior High, staff welcomed students with signs, cheers, and music as they entered campus. A photo booth added to the celebration, giving students a fun way to capture memories from their first day. The energetic welcome was especially meaningful for students beginning their first year at Potter.
At Fallbrook STEM Academy (FSA), balloons decorated the entrance while staff greeted students and families. FSA and Fallbrook High School cheerleaders joined the celebration, cheering as students arrived and adding even more energy and school spirit to the morning.
At Maie Ellis Elementary (MEE), staff lined the entrance with welcoming signs and encouraging messages. Colorful chalk decorations covered the walkways, wishing students a great school year and creating a cheerful start to their first day.
These scenes were repeated throughout each and every FUESD school, with campuses finding their own special ways to celebrate students. From music and balloons to handmade signs, chalk art, cheers, and warm greetings, the message across the district was clear: We are excited you are here!
More than just a celebration, these first-day welcomes help create a sense of belonging and connection. They remind students that their teachers, principals, and school staff are excited to see them and ready to support them throughout the year.

El Distrito Escolar de Fallbrook Union (FUESD) inició el nuevo año escolar con entusiasmo, espíritu escolar y muchas sonrisas mientras los estudiantes regresaban para su primera semana de clases. En todo el distrito, el personal se esforzó para hacer del primer día una experiencia especial e inolvidable para estudiantes nuevos y quienes regresaban.
Letreros coloridos, globos, música, porras y mensajes con gis transformaron las entradas de las escuelas en grandes celebraciones de bienvenida. El personal recibió a los estudiantes y sus familias, creando un ambiente positivo para comenzar el año.
