OUR PRIORITIES

Academic Excellence

FUESD students are empowered to take ownership of their academic achievements and are encouraged to develop a curiosity that will lead them to a lifetime of learning. Our district works diligently with the San Diego County Office of Education and the State of California to ensure students are being educated with the latest learning resource and tactics and that the student population is evaluated to ensure the quality of education they deserve. Student Leadership

At FUESD we believe that students do not need to wait until they are adults to be leaders, but can be leaders that bring change today. Each school has incorporated the “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” into the daily curriculum to make the principles of being a leader a subject of study like any other. The district’s focus on student leadership has led it to be recognized as a “National Lighthouse School District,” the first district in the United States where every school has been named a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, serving as a model for developing student leadership.

STEM Learning

STEM education is about creating a student-centered, inquiry-based classroom where students discover real-world connections between Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. STEM education is an integration of disciplines that removes the traditional barriers between Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and instead focuses on innovation and applied process of addressing questions and designing solutions to complex problems using current tools and technologies. This way of teaching created “hands-on” learning opportunities to encourage curiosity and imagination.

Military Families

We are honored to be able to serve the military-connected families of the Fallbrook community as well as those actively serving aboard MCB Camp Pendleton. Our goal is to provide education and resources to families experiencing the unique demands of an active military career.
