Potter Junior High School recently welcomed district leaders, educators, and staff for a Learning Walk that highlighted the school’s continued progress and the initiatives helping drive student success across campus.
The visit brought together Fallbrook Union Elementary School District Superintendent Monika Hazel, members of the FUESD leadership team, Governing Board President Mary McBride, and Fallbrook Union High School District Superintendent Ilsa Garza-Gonzalez, along with principals and teachers from across the district. The gathering provided an opportunity for educational leaders to observe the systems, strategies, and classroom practices that are helping Potter continue its strong forward trajectory.
Potter Principal Dr. Gonzales opened the visit with a presentation outlining the school’s recent progress and key initiatives designed to strengthen the learning environment for students. Among the highlights were the implementation of enhanced campus security systems and the introduction of new limitations on cellphone use during the school day. These efforts, designed to create a more focused and secure learning environment, have already shown positive results in student engagement and overall campus culture.
Following the presentation, guests participated in classroom visits across campus, where they observed students actively engaged in learning and teachers implementing strategies that support academic growth. The Learning Walk provided district leaders with a firsthand look at the instructional practices and collaborative efforts taking place daily to ensure that every student is supported in meeting and exceeding educational standards.
The visit also served as an opportunity to celebrate the dedication of Potter’s teachers and staff, whose commitment continues to shape a positive, student-centered environment. Potter Junior High School recientemente dio la bienvenida a líderes del distrito, educadores y personal para un Learning Walk que destacó el progreso continuo de la escuela y las iniciativas que están impulsando el éxito estudiantil en el campus.
La visita reunió a la Superintendente del Distrito Escolar Primario de Fallbrook (FUESD), Monika Hazel, miembros del equipo de liderazgo del distrito, la Presidenta de la Mesa Directiva Mary McBride, y la Superintendente del Distrito Escolar de Fallbrook Union High School, Ilsa Garza-Gonzalez, junto con directores y maestros de todo el distrito.
