Survey Introduction: Cell Phone Policy Development

The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is developing a cell phone policy to enhance student learning and safety on our campuses. As required by state law, we are notifying all families and staff of our efforts to establish guidelines for student smartphone use during school hours.

Research shows that unrestricted smartphone use can interfere with learning, impact student performance, and contribute to cyberbullying and increased student anxiety. We are seeking school community input to develop a policy that supports student focus and academic success while maintaining necessary exceptions for emergencies, health needs, and approved educational activities.

Your participation in this survey will help us create effective guidelines that serve our students and families throughout the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District.
