Fallbrook Elementary District Aims to Inspire Students with ‘Everyday Matters’ Attendance Initiative

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is delighted to announce the launch of a new initiative aimed at bolstering student attendance and ensuring that each child gets the opportunity to excel academically. Under the banner “Everyday Matters: Be Present and Be Successful,” this campaign will encompass a range of strategies and incentives to encourage students to attend school regularly and actively engage in their learning.

Recognizing that consistent attendance is a fundamental building block for student success, Superintendent Monika Hazel spoke passionately about the campaign, saying, “‘Everyday Matters. Be Present and Be Successful’ is more than just a slogan; it’s a mindset that underscores the importance of being in school, ready to learn. To acquire knowledge, students must first be present in the classroom. Taking advantage of every opportunity for learning will ensure every student’s educational journey is meaningful and effective.”

The campaign will deploy a multifaceted approach to support and reinforce regular attendance. Resources and reminders will be sent home to families, helping parents and guardians to prioritize school attendance. Colorful posters and educational materials will adorn classrooms, designed to inspire and motivate students to be in class consistently. Furthermore, students will receive special recognition and awards for both perfect attendance and improvements in their attendance record.

Acting Governing Board President, Mary McBride, also expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign, highlighting the personal significance of the initiative to her. “I’m incredibly proud of our district’s commitment to keeping students in the classroom. The importance of student attendance holds a special place in my heart, as I firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of a brighter future. By encouraging attendance, we are giving our students the chance to achieve their full potential.”

In addition to fostering a culture of consistent attendance, Fallbrook Union Elementary School District has set its sights on enhancing student achievement in critical subjects like reading and math. The campaign, “Everyday Matters. Be Present and Be Successful,” aligns with these aspirations and marks a significant step towards these objectives.

The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District invites the community, parents, and students to join hands in this collective effort to make every school day count. By embracing the “Everyday Matters” campaign, the district seeks to provide a meaningful educational experience for every student, preparing them for a bright and successful future.
